Choir is suspended for time being, but watch this space
New Ross Rugby Choir was formed early in 2005. The idea of a Rugby Choir had been spoken of for a long number of years, probably inspired by the touring Welsh sides that visited New Ross every year. Eventually it was got off the ground by Noel Bennett, Billy Ronan, Brian Bailey etc. And when Connie Tantrum expressed an interest, it snowballed and we formed. We started with a few rugby national anthems and then progressed to other songs. We now have a wide interest and hope to keep it like that and not get bogged down in a single format.
To date we have performed in various locations, charity events, on stage, open air concert, club events etc. We welcome new members and practise in the rugby club every Thursday night at 9pm for one hour. New members should just turn up or contact Jas O'Callaghan.
